We recommend that you purchase Vacation Rental Insurance. If you need to cancel your reservation after the specified time on the Rental Agreement, Vacation Rental Insurance will reimburse you the full amount paid for your reservation. If you are traveling by plane, the cost of the airline tickets is also covered.
The insurance also covers hurricanes. If there is a hurricane prior to your arrival, you will be reimbursed the full amount paid for your reservation. If there is, a hurricane evacuation after your arrival the reimbursement amount is prorated. Normally hurricane season runs from August through November.
If you have an existing insurance company, you may want to check with them to see if they offer Vacation Rental Insurance.
